Bicheno SLSC is committed to the safety of children and young people. Building on this foundation, and moving toward the adoption of Child and Youth Safe Standards, the SLST Board has mandated that all members aged 18 years or over must hold registration to work with vulnerable people (RWVP) and complete the Child Safe Awareness module.
Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
All members aged 18 years or over, SRC and Bronze Medallion holders must hold registration to work with vulnerable people (RWVP).
Before you renew, or apply for, your membership can you please ensure that Bicheno SLSC is listed on your RWVP, you can select it from the drop-down menu.
If you do not hold RWVP you must commence the application prior to renewing your membership or applying for membership. The cost, for volunteers, is $22.44. The Bicheno SLSC Executive have elected to reimburse you this cost if you choose. Information on the application process can be found at CBOSS.tas.gov.au
Persons who accompany Nippers or Seahorses must be members of Bicheno SLSC and hold RWVP.
Child Safe Awareness Module
All SLST members aged 18 and over are now required to complete the SLSA’s online Child Safe Awareness course.
Completing this course via the SLSA eLearnig portal, is vital for enhancing our collective awareness and ability to safeguard our youth.
